My name is Gabriella (Gabie) Camozzi, and I am excited to join the Ervin | Hill Strategy intern team for the summer. I’m originally from the San Francisco Bay Area but packed my bags to attend school in the Windy City and land of deep-dish pizza. I am currently a senior at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois pursuing a degree in social policy with a minor in American history. I am thrilled to be in D.C. this summer, where I am constantly surrounded by politics and history.
When asked about a fun fact, I always have one ready to go—I am a competitive figure skater. In high school, I traveled around the U.S. to compete individually and now at Northwestern, I am a member of the Club Figure Skating Team. Along with seven other women, I travel around the Midwest for various competitions during the academic year. I’ve competed all around the country, however I somehow have never made it to D.C. before this summer.
I’m excited about being in the hub of politics this summer and hope to become more familiar with the reality of the legislative process. I can’t wait to meet and eventually form relationships with different congressional staffers while working at EHS.
For my time here I’ve set a couple goals: visit all the monuments and try all the food trucks that park on our street. I’m a sucker for a good street taco or local favorite. When I’m not busy working you’ll most likely find me attending a concert. I love the concert atmosphere and have heard Wolf Trap is the place to be.
If you have any good suggestions on what to do or where to go, just let me know!
